When things go wrong

If you have a problem with your Personal Computer (PC) or an Internet Service Provider (ISP), you should make every effort to sort out the problem directly with the retailer or service provider. Have all the papers such as receipts, warranties or quotes handy and be firm and polite when lodging your complaint. If the staff are unhelpful, talk to the manager.
If your attempts to resolve the problems don't work, you can contact the:
- Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) (toll free 1800 062 058).for problems with the service provided by an ISP; and
- Consumer Affairs (toll free 1800 019 319) with retailers over a PC.
