Major hazard facilities (MHF) are workplaces that store, handle or process large quantities of hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods, including petroleum products. Some examples include LNG Processing facilities, LPG storage facilities, gas-processing plants, explosive storage and manufacturing facilities, chemical plants and large fuel and chemical storage sites, some warehouses and transport depots. They are also facilities that have potential to cause major accidents.
