Changes to Drug Laws
Government introduced legislative amendments in the May 2002 parliamentary sittings to target the manufacture, supply and distribution of drugs.
- Misuse of Drugs Act - Drug House Laws - Commenced on 1 August 2002.
- Criminal Property Forfeiture Act - Assented to on 16 July 2002 and commenced on 1 June 2003.
